いやいやいや、俺が言う「２００６年はテツの年」とはこういう事だよ！とにかく色々と動いている。昨日はヒッポファミリークラブと言う多言語習得研究会みたいなおもろいクラブを２５年前に立ち上げた、榊原さんと言うお方の懇談会に参加させてもらった。みんな色んな言葉で自己紹介をしたので、感心したよ。３才のチビっ子がべらべらスペイン語で自己紹介してるとこを見せられてみん！俺もムキになって７ヶ国語で自己紹介しちゃった よ！ガハハ。でも、何よりもあの場にいた母ちゃんたちの迫力にはお手上げでしたね。話すわ、歌うわ、ガキンチョと遊ぶわ。。。最後には榊原さんのお話を聞かせてもらって、深く考えさせてもらった。面白い体験ありがとうございました。

そして今朝はカナダのActualitéと言う雑誌の取材を受けた。仕事の事とか、俺のバックグラウンドとか、色々と楽しいお話が出来たよ。記事は９月のActualite ３０周年記念エディションに出るそうです。３０周年だから、世界で活躍している３０名のケベック人を紹介するみたいな。で、俺は応募した在日ケベック人の 中から日本代表として選ばれちゃった。また月曜一緒にお食事しながらお話しできるので、楽しみ、楽しみ。


So this is what I mean by "2006 is Tetsu's Year!" Everything is starting to move in a great direction. So I went to this meeting yesterday with the Hippo Family Club. This is a multilanguage learning club established 25 years ago by a gentleman called Mr. Sakakibara, and the meeting was precisely in his honor. There were kids and parents and others, and it was pretty impressive to see them introduce themselves in various foreign languages. At the end, Mr. Sakakibara gave an inspirational talk.

Then this morning, I met up with Isabelle Gregoire of the Quebecer magazine "Actualité." The interview consisted of a short visit of our laboratory and talks about my work and my background, etc. It was a lot of fun. The article is for the Sept. special edition commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Actualite. 30 years, so they figured they'll feature 30 Quebecers working in their respective fields outside of Quebec. I was chosen as the Japan representative. I'll get to see Isabelle again on Monday for more talks. This is fun.
